Saturday 29th June 2013. Meet at Ham House PL2 2HE. Please note earlier start than usual. The task will be helping Ply Uni Community Research Awards environmental consultants Bethan Stagg and Demelza Carne carry out trial controls on invasive species within 'Latin Squares'. Sturdy footwear essential as we shall be going into the undergrowth. Please bring hand fork/trowel, shears, bucket/Tubtrug and work gloves if you have them. Saturday 27th April 2013, 10.30 - 13.00. Meet at Ham House PL2 2HE. The task will be planting Oak saplings and repair work to the dry stone wall damaged by the recently fallen Oak tree in Ham Lane.

Sunday 24th March 2013, 10.30 - 13.00. A Wild Food Foraging Walk. Meet at Ham House PL2 2HE. Come and enjoy a wild food foraging walk in the company of enthusiast Barbara Hampson and sample some pre-cooked soup made from foraged ingredients. Please wear stout footwear as some of the paths may be slippery.

Graft, sow and grow apple festival at Cotehele Quay

Sunday 3rd March 2013, 11.00 - 16.00. Free transport provided. Join us on a beautiful train journey to Calstock and walk along the river to Cotehele Quay to enjoy a day of apple fun for all the family. For £5 you can even take home your own grafted apple tree.
Meet at St Budeaux Victoria Road train station at 09.30. The train departs at 09.40.

GreenSpace South West meeting CANCELLED

Saturday 2nd March 2013, 10.00 - 16.00, at Plymouth YMCA, Honicknowle Lane, PL5 3NG .
GreenSpace South West promotes tree planting and management of woodlands by community groups and local councils. 
In the morning speakers from GreenSpace, the Woodland Trust, the Silvanus Trust and FoHW will give presentations. 
In the afternoon there will be guided walks in Ham Woods. Help with the walks from FoHW members would be greatly appreciated.

Meet at 12.00 outside the Mayflower Community School, 41 Ham Drive, PL2 2NJ.
